SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

Shift: 3:00 PM–1:00 AM

Available Dates:

September: 4–6, 11–13
October: 7, 20–21, 30–31
November: 1–4, 7–15, 23–24, 30
December: 1–2, 7–9, 14–16, 21–26, 31

RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor, manage, and discharge patients on the trauma service
Support the trauma surgeon on call
Perform patient histories and physical examinations
Develop and manage treatment plans
Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies
Manage medications and ongoing patient care
Perform procedures within the approved scope of practice
Surgical assisting is not required

PRACTICE DETAILS
Level II Trauma Center
Trauma & Critical Care service
Approximately 20–25 trauma service patients per day
Few to zero pediatric patients
One additional Trauma NP/PA covers the day shift
Support one trauma surgeon on call
EMR: Cerner Care B
