Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join its high-acuity Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as full-time Nocturnists.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced overnight surgical care and manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients in an inpatient setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive Trauma and Acute Care Surgery services overnight.

Perform patient assessments and order and interpret diagnostic tests.

Develop and implement treatment plans.

Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients.

Assist trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing patient management.

Work autonomously while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Document patient care using Epic EMR.

Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care.

Participate in mentorship, leadership development, and continuing education.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree in Nursing.

Current Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC or AANPCB.

Board Certified.

BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Eligible for DEA registration and Medicare/Medicaid provider status.

Unrestricted Colorado license.

At least 2 years of trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship.

Specific APP experience in trauma, critical care, and/or surgery is required.

Must have no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.

Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred.

NPDB Self Query Report dated within 30 days required prior to presentation

Locum or locum-to-permanent candidates are not being considered.

Annual salary: $136,822–$179,379
