NP/PA Trauma Surgery – Locum Tenens – Atlantic City, NJ

A large, well-established health system in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area is seeking a Locum Advanced Practice Provider (NP with RNFA or PA) for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at their regional medical center.\n\nThis is a hospital-based Level II Trauma Center opportunity with coverage needed ASAP through October. Providers will work 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM) with no formal call required. A supervising physician is present in-house 24/7. Responsibilities include trauma alerts, surgical consultations, admitting, rounding, OR support, facilitating discharges, ER admissions, and responding to house codes and rapid response. Required procedures include ventilation management, chest tube, central line, arterial line, PICC line insertion, minor laceration suturing, and non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP).\n\nRequirements:\n- NP with RNFA or PA\n- Active New Jersey State License (must hold current license)\n- BLS, ACLS, and ATLS or ATCN Certifications\n- Experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery\n- Proficiency in trauma alerts, OR support, inpatient rounding, and ER admissions\n- Cerner EMR experience preferred\n- Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days\n\nAtlantic City offers a vibrant coastal lifestyle with excellent dining, entertainment, and beach access — an ideal location for providers who enjoy a resort community setting.
