Position Summary
Seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to join a dynamic Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team as a full-time Nocturnist, playing a key role in providing advanced overnight surgical and trauma care within a high-acuity medical center.

Job Description
The Physician Assistant will:
Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts.
Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care.
Perform evaluations, develop care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests.
Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Maintain all documentation and clinical workflows in Epic EMR.
Practice autonomously and handle multiple complex tasks appropriately.
Support quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service.
Engage in professional development and potential leadership opportunities via UCHealth OAP.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $136,822 to $179,379, based on experience
Eligible to earn up to $10,000 annually through the Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP)
Relocation assistance up to $10,000 for eligible candidates

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s degree in PA Studies – [REQUIRED]
NCCPA Certified – [REQUIRED] *no exceptions
Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado – [REQUIRED]
Must be eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status — [REQUIRED]
Clean malpractice/license history - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
Must have no sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA — [REQUIRED]
Must hold BLS Certification – [REQUIRED]
Experience: 2 years of trauma surgery preferred OR completion of surgical fellowship - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
