Trauma Surgery Opportunity – Columbia, SC

• Start Date: July/August
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 11-hour day shifts | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Day shift only
• Providers must be able to work at least 3 consecutive shifts, with a strong preference for 7-on/7-off scheduling

Position Overview:
This opportunity focuses primarily on adult trauma surgery coverage at a busy trauma center. Providers will participate in trauma evaluations and receive patient transfers from surrounding facilities. Burn patients are transferred out to specialized centers.

Practice Details:
• Patient Volume: Approximately 10–12 patients per shift
• Patient Population: Primarily adults with occasional pediatric cases
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities Include:
• Trauma surgery coverage and patient management
• Receiving and managing trauma transfers from outside facilities
• Inpatient trauma care and consultative services

Requirements:
• Board Certified in Trauma Surgery required
• Active South Carolina license required
• ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required
• Clean background required for presentation
• Name clear and NPI required prior to submission

Additional Information:
• Facility is willing to license providers, though an active SC license is strongly preferred due to longer credentialing timelines
• Credentialing timeframe:

* Approximately 60 days with active SC license
* Approximately 90–120 days without SC license
