PA Trauma Surgery – Locum Tenens – Columbia, SC

Job description

A large hospital trauma program in the Columbia, SC area is seeking a Physician Assistant for locum tenens trauma surgery coverage.

Schedule: 11-hour day shifts, 7am – 6pm. No nights.

Work Details: Primarily adult trauma surgery; the locum is expected to take part in receiving patients from other facilities as trauma transfers. Burns are transferred out. Patient volume: 10–12 per day. Occasional pediatrics. EMR: Epic.

Requirements: Board certification in trauma surgery, active SC license, ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and PALS. Clean background required. Credentialing timeframe: 60 days with active SC license, 90–120 days without. Licensing is possible but the program prefers candidates already licensed in SC.

Compensation: $214/hr standard; $288.90/hr (1.35x) for OT/holiday. All travel billable.
