Job description

A Level III Trauma Center in Arkansas is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Trauma Surgeon for ongoing call coverage beginning December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to provide inpatient trauma and acute surgical care in a supportive hospital environment with temporary privileges available for qualified providers.

1:3 call rotation
20-minute response time
Approximately 3 phone consults per call shift
Average of 6 patients seen while on call
No admissions required
No APP supervision required

Approximately 10 patients per shift
Rounding responsibilities included
Collaborative surgical team environment
Procedures & Clinical Scope

Providers should be comfortable managing:

Adult Trauma Surgery
General Surgery cases
Laparoscopic procedures
Appendectomies
Cholecystectomies
Hernia repairs
Chest tube placement
Central line placement
Requirements
Active Arkansas medical license required
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Surgery
ATLS certification required
Trauma Surgery Fellowship preferred
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days (approximately 30 days with a clean Data Bank)
