Trauma Surgeon needed in Denver, CO

Hello, this is Alisha, Senior Principal Recruiter at Aya Locums. I'm reaching out today about a new Trauma Surgery need in Denver, CO. We can license for this opportunity.

Contract Length: 4-6 months, facility can gaurantee 4 months but will most likely need 6+ months of coverage, 9/1 start
Shift Details: Facility is looking for call coverage for weekends and nights.
Weekend call is 12-hour shifts, either 7a-7p or 7p-7a. Facility said they might entertain 24-hour call shifts if requested.

Work Details:
• Support staff: full resident consult team on nights, including APP and physicians, most consults come from the ER for both trauma and gen surgery consults
• Call Back Frequency: Providers generally see 10-20 consults in a 24-hour call period.
• Patient population/age: Mostly adults, although facility is a level 2 pediatric trauma center. There are pediatric specific surgeons working days, but providers sometimes provide telephonic call coverage for peds. Some surgeons perform routine procedures on pediatrics, although not required.
• EMR: Epic
• Special procedures: bread and butter trauma and general surgery
