Locum Trauma Surgeon Opportunity – Florida

Are you a skilled Trauma Surgeon looking for a rewarding locum opportunity? We are seeking an experienced Trauma Surgeon to provide coverage for a Level II Trauma Center in Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon with experience handling high-acuity trauma cases while working alongside a strong team of specialists and APP support.
Position Details:
• Location: Florida
• Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center
• Practice Setting: Hospital with blended Acute Care and Trauma coverage
• Schedule:
o November: 2 full weeks
o Ongoing: 4 sporadic shifts per month
• Support Staff: 1 APP per area
• EMR: Epic
• Average Trauma Cases: 2,200 per year
• Patient Population: Adult
• Credentialing: 90 days or faster
Clinical Responsibilities:
• Managing Level II Trauma cases (excluding Neurosurgery)
• Performing exploratory laparotomies, emergency thoracotomies, chest wall stabilization, damage control surgery, vascular repair, and orthopedic trauma procedures
• Collaborating with specialists in Neurosurgery and Orthopedics for complex cases
• Resuscitation, stabilization, and surgical intervention as needed
