Position Details
PRN Trauma / Acute Care Surgery coverage
Initial priority dates: 11/6–11/8 & 11/10–11/13
Sporadic ongoing coverage anticipated into 2027
Day shifts: 7a–3p
Night shifts: 3p–7a
Coverage may rotate between Trauma Bay/OR, Acute Care/OR & ICU
3 physicians on, with one covering each area
APP support in all areas
Approximately 2,200 trauma cases annually
Adult patient population
Broad trauma cases excluding Neurosurgery
Procedures may include exploratory laparotomies, emergency thoracotomies, chest wall stabilization, damage-control surgery & vascular repair
Epic EMR
No call
Temporary privileges possible with a clean file
Drive-in/local providers strongly preferred
