Trauma Surgery Opportunity – IN

Duration: Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only

Schedule:
• Day shift: 7:00a–5:00p with night back-up call
• Night shift: 5:00p–7:00a with day back-up call
• Coverage blocks of 7 consecutive days, up to 21 days per month
• Day shift serves as back-up call for the following night shift
• Night shift serves as back-up call for the preceding day shift (rarely called)
• Clinic held Tuesdays and Thursdays (primarily APP-covered)

Work Details:
• Level II Trauma Center
• Inpatient and outpatient practice setting
• Average 10–20 patients per shift
• Team-based coverage model:
– Day team: 2 surgeons + 2 APPs (ICU/trauma and floors/EGS)
– Night team: 1 surgeon + 1 APP covering the full service
• Department bed size: 25 beds
• EMR: Cerner
• Providers requested: 3

Requirements:
• Board Certified in General Surgery and Critical Care
• Trauma / Surgical Critical Care Fellowship required
• ATLS required
• Active Indiana license required
• DEA and CSR required

Credentialing:
• Emergency credentialing possible for providers with a clean background and NPDB
