Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Trauma Surgeon for a 6-month locum tenens assignment at a well-established 450-bed hospital in Vancouver, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative trauma team and provide inpatient trauma and emergency general surgery coverage in a busy acute care setting.
• July start with a 6-month assignment and ongoing coverage needs
• Flexible scheduling with 10-hour day shifts (7a–5p) or 14-hour night shifts (5p–7a); no call responsibilities
• Inpatient-only practice covering adult trauma and emergency general surgery patients, averaging 12–30 patients per day
• Work alongside existing Level II Trauma coverage in a supportive hospital environment utilizing EPIC EMR
• Active Washington license required at time of presentation (no IMLC accepted); Board Certification, Surgical Critical Care Fellowship, ATLS, and ACLS required
Qualified candidates must have completed a General Surgery residency and Surgical Critical Care fellowship, be board certified, and provide a case log demonstrating at least 100 critical care patients within the past 24 months. Recent clinical activity is required.
This is a hospital-based position with no clinic responsibilities. Providers will be responsible for trauma and emergency general surgery procedures, admissions, and rounding in a high-acuity inpatient setting.
