Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Urology Nurse Practitioner to support a busy outpatient urology clinic in Southern California. This is a clinic‑only assignment covering a maternity leave, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Assignment Overview:

Start Date: As soon as possible

Training required prior to July 2


Contract Length: 4 months with possible extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Coverage: Approximately 20 clinic days per month
Call / Weekends / Holidays: None
Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic
EMR: Epic

Patient Volume & Population:

Average Volume: ~16 patients per day
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
Specialty focus: Women’s and Men’s Urology

Conditions Commonly Managed:

Recurrent UTIs
Microhematuria
Overactive bladder (frequency, urgency, bladder pressure)
Dysuria
Recurrent infections
Erectile dysfunction
Kidney stones
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Procedures & Skills:

PTNS (Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation)
Pessary management and changes
Experience in men’s health preferred

Support Staff:

Medical Assistants
LVN
RN

Requirements:

Board‑Certified Nurse Practitioner
Active California NP license
DEA required
BLS certification
Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience

Credentialing:

Estimated timeframe: 45–60 days
