Urology Locum Tenens Opportunity – 24-Hour Call Coverage

Job description

A board-certified Urologist is needed for an ongoing locum tenens assignment providing 24-hour call coverage in an acute care hospital setting. This role is ideal for physicians comfortable managing emergent urologic cases and responding to emergency department consults.

Position Overview
Specialty: Urology
Start Date: Early September or as soon as credentialed
Assignment Length: Ongoing (initial 13-week commitment)
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage in rotating blocks
Call Structure: 1 week on (Monday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM), 1 in 3 rotation

Practice Setting
Acute Care Hospital
Inpatient-focused role with emergency department consults
Supportive hospital environment with established care teams
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour call coverage for urology services
Respond to emergency department consults
Manage inpatient urologic cases
Perform emergent urologic procedures as needed
Team & Support
Collaborative hospital staff and care teams
Established workflows for inpatient and emergency coverage
Requirements
Board Certified in Urology
Active state medical license required at submission
Active DEA required (or easily transferable)
CSR required
Experience with Epic EMR preferred (training available if needed)
