Minnesota Urology Locums - 12/24-12/28 + Future Dates

Job description

Aya Locums is recruiting a Urologist for a concentrated Minnesota coverage block from December 24 through December 28, with additional dates expected as the facility works through ongoing staffing needs.

The assignment is hospital-based and includes daytime onsite coverage with overnight phone call. The Urologist will cover inpatient consultations, urgent/emergent add-on surgical cases, and phone consultations. Daytime coverage is generally 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute response expectation for emergencies overnight.

Current scope includes:
- Hospital-based Urology call and inpatient consults
- Urgent and emergent add-on cases
- Cystoscopy / stone cases
- Stent placement
- Torsion cases
- Fulguration
- Difficult catheter and suprapubic catheter-related issues
- Comfort with trauma and complex inpatient Urology

The current service includes 8 Urologists and 9 APPs, with strong PA support throughout the day. Urology technicians are available to assist with difficult catheter placement, catheter triage, and CBI management. Hospitalists handle admissions.

The current inpatient list averages approximately 20 patients, with roughly 3-5 add-on cases per day. Overnight call is primarily by phone unless a procedure is required.

Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologists may be considered. Minnesota licensure eligibility is required. For physicians utilizing the IMLC pathway, an active LOQ must already be in hand.
