Urologist Needed in Minnesota | 14 on/14 off + Call | Competitive Pay

Job description

Schedule: 14 on/14 off (including call) schedule. The hours would be 7am – 4 pm at the hospital

Call/Outreach: Hospital Call
Responsibilities: Hospital call, inpatient consults, emergent/urgent add on surgical cases, phone consults-onsite 7a-5p and overnight phone call availability with a 30 minute response time for emergent cases
Average patients: 20 inpatients on patient list and 3-5 add on cases daily
Procedures required: Cysto stone cases, stent cases, torsion, fulgration cases (urologic urgent/emergent cases)
Common conditions being treated: Kidney stones, Urinary Retention, UTI, torsion, fulgaration, suprapubic catheter, OR or guided catheter placement
Common procedures include: Cysto stone cases, stent placement
Training or Desired Skills: comfort managing trauma and complex inpatient cases, and strong fundamental urologic skills
Current practice: 8 Urologists, 9 APPs (7 local, 2 regional) – hospital based & seeing patients in acute settings (overview of practice): Strong PA support with excellent longevity on the team; workload is divided throughout the day
Night call is phone call only unless a procedure is required (most calls are related to pain management), call response time remains 30 minutes. Urology Techs available to assist with difficult catheter placements, catheter issue triage, CBI Management, etc Hospitalists handle admissions.
Must have LOQ in hand
If a provider is on a 24 hr call and is called back into work the first 4 hours worked by the provider are non billable. All other call back hours worked by a provider called in from a 24 hour on call and all call back hours worked by a provider called in from a 24 hr on call and all call back hours worked by a provider called in from an hourly on call will be billed at the applicable rate
