Upstate New York offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor recreational and natural attractions throughout the region. The Finger Lakes area features scenic state parks, waterfalls, and gorges, while the Lake George area provides opportunities for rail biking, cave exploration, and skiing at Gore Mountain, the largest ski area in New York State. Niagara Falls and waterfront destinations such as Canalside in Buffalo, which hosts community events throughout the year, further expand the range of options available during time away from clinical duties.

About the clinician's workday

The urologist will provide full scope coverage across inpatient, clinic, and operating room settings during day shift hours with 24-hour call responsibilities on an on-site basis. Clinicians will manage general and bread and butter urological cases, seeing 15-25 patients per day across the assigned clinical environments. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and on-site availability must be maintained throughout all designated coverage dates. An active New York medical license, an active DEA registration, and board certification in Urology are required; temporary privileges may be granted.
