Urology Opportunity in New York

Job description

Guthrie Corning Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Urology Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time or part-time locum tenens assignment due to a physician departure. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-supported practice with a mix of clinic, call, and surgical responsibilities.

Opportunity Details:

Location: Corning, New York
Facility: Guthrie Corning Hospital (Level III Trauma Center)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Coverage Needed: Full-Time or Part-Time
Privileges: Full Privileges available; Temporary Privileges possible with a clean file
Minimum Experience: 2-3 years
Board Certification: Required
No geographic restrictions

Clinical Responsibilities:

Average 18-20 clinic patients per day
Practice mix: 80% Clinic / 20% OR
Inpatient rounding as needed (approximately 1 hour daily)
Procedures include stents, stone management, and general urologic procedures
Adult and Pediatric patients
Emergency Department consults while on call, as needed

Call Details:

Weekend call required
Call type: Phone and/or In-Person
Call frequency: TBD
Average fewer than 10 calls per 24-hour call shift
Required response time: Within 30 minutes

Practice Support:

2 Urologists currently on staff
2 APPs
Dedicated nursing and clinical assistant support
Surgical tech support available
Anesthesia team available
Dedicated OR block time utilized by the department
Approximately one 8-hour OR block per week
