Locum Tenens Urology Physician

Position Overview

A facility in Eastern Oregon is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urology Physician for a 12-month locum tenens assignment starting in December. The position covers clinic, surgery, and hospital on-call duties to replace a departing physician.

Schedule & Coverage

Frequency: 1–2 weeks per month (Monday – Friday)

On-Call: 24-hour call Monday through Thursday

Monday – Thursday Schedule:

7:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Surgery

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Clinic

Friday Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Clinic only; no call)

Workload Expectation: Minimum 17 clinic patients daily and active management of surgery slots.

Clinical & Procedural Requirements

Setting: Community Hospital (Trauma Level IV) and Physician Clinic

Robotics: No Da Vinci robot required.

Core Procedures: Circumcision/Dorsal Slit, Orchiopexy (Adult & Pediatric), Cystoscopy (with Stent Placement, Botox, Biopsy, Mitomycin, Urolift), Clot Evacuation, Hydrocelectomy, Laser Lithotripsy, Outpatient Prostate Biopsy, Sacral Neurostimulation, TOT Sling, Suprapublic Cath Placement, TURP, Ureteroscopy with Laser, TURBT.

Support Staff: Clinic MA, Clinic RN, and Perioperative Nursing Staff.

EMR Systems: Meditech & eClinicalWorks.

Submission & Credentialing Requirements

Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days

Board Certification: Board Certified required (Board Eligible accepted if within 12 months of residency completion).

Licensure: Active Oregon License preferred (Will consider candidates willing to apply during credentialing).

Certifications: Active DEA and BLS required.

Background: Clean malpractice history preferred.
