A community-based hospital is seeking a Urologist for locum tenens weekend call coverage. This is a great opportunity for providers looking for a consistent, low-volume call schedule in a supportive clinical environment.

Position Overview
Start Date: May 2026
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Weekend call coverage (Friday morning or evening through Monday morning)
Coverage Type: 24-hour call
Volume: Inpatient and ER call only (no clinic responsibilities)

Practice Setting
Community hospital environment
Established team with physician and advanced practice provider support
Focus on general urology cases
No interventional radiology services on-site
Trauma cases typically transferred to tertiary care facilities

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide general urology call coverage for inpatient and emergency department consults
Manage adult and geriatric patient populations
Perform standard urologic procedures as needed within scope

Technology & Facility
Electronic Medical Record: Epic
Mid-sized hospital with a steady but manageable patient volume

Work Details
Coverage need: Approximately 2 weekends per month (holiday coverage required)
No clinic duties—call coverage only
Patient volume varies depending on consults and admissions

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Active state license or willingness to obtain
DEA required (Willingness to obtain or transfer)
Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred

Credentialing
Standard credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean license
