Urology Locum Need in Pennsylvania

Position Overview

Specialty: Urology
Coverage Type: Clinic‑based coverage
Practice Setting: Hospital
Clinical Scope:

Mix of office visits and cystoscopy/stent procedures
Average 24–28 patients per day (may be fewer; not expected to exceed this unless urgent)
Adult patient population 18+
Rare pediatric emergency torsion cases may present during call


Robotic Surgery: Available; not required
APP Supervision: Yes (new APPs on site)


Schedule and Coverage

Coverage Dates:

June 29 – July 2
July 20 – July 24


Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Includes 1‑hour lunch (8‑hour workday)


Ongoing Need: Full‑week clinic coverage as needed

Provider Requirements

Board Certification: BC or BE in Urology
Licensure: Pennsylvania license preferred for quicker start
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Core Procedures Required:

Vasectomy
Cystoscopy (OR)
Prostate procedures
Ureteroscopy (OR)
Lithotripsy
Orchiopexy


Additional Procedures (Some/Rare):

Vasectomy reversal (not mandatory)
Penile plication
Penile implants (rare)
Circumcision (rare; OB primarily manages pediatric cases)




Credentialing

Timeframe: 90 days
Temporary Privileges: Available with clean file
