High-priority Urology need with a Level 1 Trauma Center, offering strong support, great case mix, and consistent call blocks. York, PA
Immediate Coverage Needed
May 15 (7a) – May 18 (7a)
June 1 (7a) – June 5 (7a)
June 8 (7a) – June 12 (7a)
Ongoing full-time locums need (can be split into blocks)
Position Details:
24-hour beeper call coverage
EMR: Epic
Callback: ~2–6 hours/day
Adult patient population (with rare pediatric emergency support)
Practice Environment:
16 ORs across York Hospital + Apple Hill Surgery Center
Robotics available
Mix of procedures + clinic (24–28 patients/day)
Strong clinical variety with both elective and urgent cases
Clinic support: 4 MAs, 1 CSA, 1 RN
Will help supervise APPs (new team members)
Equipped with cystoscopy towers, injections, and full urology setup
Procedures / Scope
Bread-and-butter urology + advanced capabilities:
Cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy
Prostate procedures
Vasectomy (reversal optional)
Penile procedures (rare)
Orchiopexy
Flexible scope depending on provider comfort
Requirements:
BC/BE in Urology
PA license preferred (IMLC LOQ considered)
DEA required
Minimum 1 year experience
⏱ Credentialing: ~90 days, temps available with clean file
