Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board‑Eligible or Board‑Certified Urologist for a high‑priority locums opportunity at a Level I Trauma Center in Pennsylvania. This is a strong assignment offering excellent clinical support, a diverse procedure mix, and flexible block scheduling.
Immediate coverage is needed, with ongoing full‑time locums opportunities available that can be split into coverage blocks.

Coverage Blocks Needed:

May 15 (7:00am) – May 18 (7:00am)
June 1 (7:00am) – June 5 (7:00am)
June 8 (7:00am) – June 12 (7:00am)

Additional blocks available beyond these dates.

Position Details:

Coverage Type: 24‑hour beeper call
Trauma Level: Level I
EMR: Epic
Callback Volume: Approximately 2–6 hours per day
Patient Population: Adult (rare pediatric emergency support)


Practice Environment:

16 operating rooms across hospital campus and affiliated surgery center
Robotics available
Combination of operative and clinic responsibilities
Clinic volume: approximately 24–28 patients per day
Balanced mix of elective and urgent urologic cases


Clinical Support:

Clinic staff includes 4 MAs, 1 CSA, and 1 RN
Support with supervision of APPs (new team members)
Fully equipped urology setup including cystoscopy towers and injection capabilities


Scope of Practice:
Bread‑and‑butter urology with advanced capabilities, including:

Cystoscopy
Ureteroscopy and lithotripsy
Prostate procedures
Vasectomy (reversal optional)
Penile procedures (rare)
Orchiopexy
Scope is flexible based on provider comfort and experience


Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Pennsylvania license preferred (IMLC LOQ considered)
DEA required
Minimum 1 year of experience


Credentialing:

Estimated timeframe: ~90 days
Temporary privileges available with a clean file
