Urology Locums in Central Pennsylvania | 24-Hour Call Coverage | Level II Trauma | Full Travel Paid

Job description

Start: September 8, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 26 weeks (flexible)
Coverage: 24-hour on-call coverage; 4-10 shifts per month
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7:00a-7:00a
Call: 24-hour call coverage. Initial dates include October 13-14 (ending 7a Oct 15); November 1 (ending 7a Nov 2); November 3-4 (ending 7a Nov 5); November 9-11 (ending 7a Nov 12); December 7-9 (ending 7a Dec 10); December 11-13 (ending 7a Dec 14); December 17-20 (ending 7a Dec 21); December 28-30 (ending 7a Dec 31). From January 2027, approximately one weekend per month from Thursday 4p through Monday 7a.
Volume: Variable - patients are not scheduled
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, Level II trauma
Support Staff: Urology PA and inpatient support
EMR: Cerner (inpatient); GE Centricity (outpatient record review)
Procedures: Cystoscopy and/or stent placement for hematuria; kidney stone treatment with possible extraction or holmium laser lithotripsy; testicular torsion (rare); UTI management; consultation with ED and other providers for Foley catheter placement

Take call for a busy regional hub that receives referrals from several outlying facilities
Round on inpatients in the AM and perform emergency surgery as needed
Round on patients admitted in house following a procedure you have performed
Timely documentation in Cerner

Requirements
Board Certified in Urology
Pennsylvania license required (IMLC accepted; willing to license through IMLC)
DEA required
ACLS and BLS required
Level II trauma experience required
1-2 years of experience preferred

24-hour call shifts, 7:00a-7:00a
4-10 shifts per month
Weekend call blocks Thursday 4p-Monday 7a from January 2027

Travel: Recommend flying into Pittsburgh with an approximately 2-hour drive to the assignment. Full travel paid - flight, rental car, and hotel.
