Locum Urologist – York, PA

📞 Call: 24-hour call available/required as scheduled
Schedule & Coverage
• Monday–Friday clinic: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch
• Full-week coverage needed on an ongoing basis
• Combination of clinic, OR, and 24-hour call coverage
• Example call period: December 23 at 5:00 PM through December 25 at 7:00 AM
• Approximately 24–28 patients per day, with the volume generally not exceeding 28 unless there is an urgent need
• Patient population: Adults 18+
• Exception: Emergency testicular torsion may present during call at York Hospital
Clinical Responsibilities
• Mix of office visits and cystoscopy/stent procedures
• Robotic surgery is available and can be performed if within the physician's practice; not required
• Supervision of new NPs/PAs will be required
• Hospital/OR coverage as needed
Support Staff & Resources
• 4 Medical Assistants
• 1 CSA
• 1 RN
• Cystoscope and towers available in the office
• Injection capabilities available
• 16 operating rooms across York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgery
Procedures
Required/Expected:
• Vasectomy
• Cystoscopy – OR
• Prostate procedures
• Ureteroscopy – OR
• Lithotripsy
• Orchiopexy
Additional Procedures:
• Vasectomy reversal – available but not mandatory
• Penile plication
• Penile implants – rare
• Circumcision – primarily managed by OB for pediatric patients; occasional adult support may be needed during call
Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• Pennsylvania license required or IMLC LOQ only
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
