Urology Locum Tenens Opportunity - 24-Hour Call Coverage

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist for a high-acuity hospital-based locum opportunity in VA. This is an active, busy program serving as the main transfer facility for Southwest Virginia and supporting a Level II Trauma program.

Position Details:

Coverage: 24-hour hospital/ED shifts with call-back requirements

Response Time: 20 minutes (in-person response required)

Typical Call Back: 2–5 hours per 24-hour period

Daily Patient Volume: ~28

Practice Details:

Support: Nursing staff support

Case Mix: General Urology

High volume of kidney stones

Bread-and-butter urology cases

Robotics: Da Vinci (3 XI systems available)

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible (required)

Active Virginia medical license

Active DEA

BCLS & PALS required (ACLS preferred)

Minimum 200 cases within the past 2 years – case logs required at presentation

Comfortable with high-volume, trauma-supported hospital setting
