Join a well-established healthcare system in Olympia, Washington, seeking Board-Certified Urologists to provide ongoing locum tenens call coverage. This opportunity is ideal for physicians looking for a flexible schedule with a predictable call rotation while practicing in a supportive hospital environment using Epic EMR.
The facility is expanding its locum provider pool and is seeking 1–2 additional Urologists to primarily provide inpatient call coverage. Physicians should be comfortable managing a broad range of urologic emergencies and performing surgical procedures as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Evaluate and manage inpatient urologic consults
Perform emergency urologic surgical procedures when indicated
Respond promptly to hospital call-backs
Collaborate with emergency medicine, hospitalists, and surgical teams
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care
Participate in orientation prior to beginning coverage
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified in Urology (Required)
Active Washington medical license or eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
Active DEA registration
Current, updated CV
Strong experience managing inpatient urologic emergencies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
Experience providing hospital call coverage
Strong surgical urology background
Comfortable working independently during overnight call
Previous locum tenens experience is a plus
Working Hours
Coverage Type: Call Only
Call Schedule: 24-Hour Beeper Call
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Approximately 1 week per month
Typically 3–4 consecutive 24-hour call shifts per scheduled week
Additional shifts may be available based on provider availability
Average callback time: 4–5 hours per day (may vary)
