Board Certified Urologist
Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Urologist for long-term locum tenens coverage in Longview, Washington. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient urology services, including clinic visits, operating room procedures, and scheduled call coverage.
The position offers a diverse clinical environment caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Location
Longview, Washington
Coverage will be provided at an acute care hospital and a nearby urology clinic located approximately one mile apart.
Schedule & Work Environment
Standard clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Combination of clinic and OR coverage
Typical schedule when taking call:
Approximately 3 clinic days
1 OR day
7 consecutive days of 24-hour call
Administrative day/off day incorporated for rest
When not taking call:
Approximately 4 clinic days
1 OR day
7 days of unrestricted call per month
Call is restricted/beeper coverage
Approximately 0–4 after-hours calls/texts per night
Expected return-call response within approximately 10 minutes
Must remain within approximately 30 minutes of the facility while on call
Average daily census: approximately 18 patients
No floating
Clinical Responsibilities
The physician will provide standard urology services in both clinic and operating room settings, including:
Catheter placement
Stent placement
Cystoscopy
TURP
Ureteroscopy
Prostate biopsy
Circumcision
Shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL)
Orchiopexy
TURBT
Hydrocelectomy
Spermatocelectomy
PVP
Litholapaxy
Diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones
Erectile dysfunction
Male incontinence
Surgical assistance
Da Vinci experience is a strong plus but not required.
Requirements
Board Certified in Urology
Washington medical license required
Minimum 2 years of experience
BLS and ACLS required
Certifications must be through AHA or American Red Cross, as applicable
Epic EMR experience required
Must have recent surgical experience
Documentation of approximately 100 representative surgical procedures from the previous 24 months is required
Comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient urology care
Must be able to provide clinic, OR, and call coverage
