Urology Locums Call Coverage in Madison, WI | 24-Hour Weekend Call | Level II Trauma | Epic

Job description

Start: September 4, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: Hospital-based urology call coverage only - no outpatient clinic
Schedule: 24-hour call. Weekend coverage Friday 12:00p - Monday 7:00a; weekday coverage variable
Dates: 9/4-9/7, 11/6-11/9, 12/4-12/7, 12/24-12/28, then every Friday 12:00p - Monday 7:00a beginning January 1 through the weekend of June 4, 2027
Call: 24-hour call, including nights and weekends; call back as needed
Volume: Approximately 1-5 cases per call shift
Patient Population: Adults 18+
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, Level II trauma center
Procedures: Stent placement, ureteroscopy, stone treatment/removal, and other general urology surgeries as needed

Provide inpatient and emergency urology call coverage
Perform general urology surgical cases as needed
Respond to consults from the emergency department and inpatient units
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
MD/DO, Board Certified in Urology (providers currently in a urology fellowship may be considered if permitted under residency program guidelines)
Completion of a urology residency
Wisconsin license required - open to licensure and will pay for Wisconsin license; IMLC/compact accepted
General urology surgical skills, including stent placement, ureteroscopy, and stone treatment/removal
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

24-hour call shifts
Weekend blocks: Friday 12:00p - Monday 7:00a
Weekday coverage variable
