Job description

Cardiac Surgery APP locum opportunity in Orange County, CA available. This is a hospital-based role focused on pre/post-op cardiac surgery management and ICU coverage.

Schedule:
• Start: June 2026
• 13-week assignment with extension potential
• 4x10 hour shifts weekly
• Day shifts with some possible weekend coverage
• No call

Practice:
• Cardiac surgery inpatient service
• ~10 patients per day
• Responsibilities include rounding, ICU management, discharge planning, and post-op care
• Collaborative APP and surgeon team onsite
• EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active CA license required
• DEA required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 5 years of acute care cardiac surgery experience
• Epic experience preferred
• Clean background/no malpractice required

Credentialing:
• Approximately 30–60 days
