Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery (Endoscopic Vein Harvesting + First Assist)
Location: near Stockton, CA
Start Date: 7/6/2026
Contract Length: July 2026 through March 2027; potential extension

Schedule

Provider needed 3–4 times per week
Procedures last 1.5–2 hours, 1 patient per day
Procedures begin between 8:30–9:00 AM
Scheduling available Monday–Friday; occasional weekend procedures possible
No call
Part‑time but recurring weekly schedule


Practice Details

Cardiovascular surgery service with focus on endo vein harvesting
Adults‑only population
Volume: 1 patient per day
Dedicated heart team and RNFA support
EMR: Epic
Hospital privileges required


Clinical Scope

Endoscopic vein harvesting (required)
First assist for cardiovascular surgical procedures
Assist with perioperative care as needed
Collaborate with CV surgery and heart team
Document all care in Epic


Requirements

Physician Assistant — Board Certification (NCCPA) required
Active CA license required
DEA and/or CSR required
Minimum 1 year of cardiovascular surgery or vein harvesting experience
PAs only (no NPs accepted due to credentialing rules)
Hospital privileging required


Credentialing

Estimated ~90 days
Provider must submit onboarding documents promptly to initiate privileging
