Idaho Falls is situated along the Snake River in eastern Idaho and offers a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The city provides access to fishing on the South Fork of the Snake River, hiking at Hell's Half Acre Lava Field, the Museum of Idaho, a zoo, an ice arena, and a riverfront walk. Clinicians on assignment will also find convenient proximity to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks for regional exploration during time away from clinical duties.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide vascular surgery coverage across inpatient and operating room settings on a day shift basis, working 12-hour shifts on a 7 on/7 off schedule. Clinical responsibilities include OR procedures and inpatient rounding, conducted entirely on-site. Call is required as part of this assignment, with after-hours call varying from 0 to 4 calls per night and approximately 2 after-hours urgent cases per week. An active Idaho license, active Idaho DEA, and prescriptive authority are all required prior to consideration; board certification in Vascular Surgery is negotiable.
