Locums - APP - Cardiovascular Surgery - Lexington, KY

Start Date: February 1, 2026
Contract Length: 3–6 months, option to extend
Coverage Type: Scheduled + On Call Required

Shift Description: Day and Night Coverage
Shift Schedule: Standard – 5x10s (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Schedule Details: Monday–Friday, 7a–5p; Night call 5p–7a; Weekend call. Full-time coverage needed. Provider must be able to offer at least one full week of weekday and call coverage.

Work Details

Amount of coverage needed per month: Full-time

Patients per day: Morning rounds typically include 5–10 ICU patients with faculty. No first-call patient responsibilities.

Patient population: Adults

EMR: Epic

Skills required: Must be proficient in first assisting, endoscopic vein harvesting, and CABG procedures.

Requirements

Board Certification: NP (must have RNFA) or PA

License:

KY license required for NPs

PAs may obtain KY license

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of recent experience first assisting in cardiovascular procedures

Must have endoscopic vein harvesting experience

Must be proficient in first assist and Epic EMR
