Vascular Surgery PA needed in OH

Schedule & Dates

Start Date: February 17
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Scheduled Blocks:
• Feb 17–20
• Mar 2–5
• Mar 17–20
• Mar 30–Apr 2
• Apr 13–16
• Apr 27–30
• May 11–14
• May 25–28

Call Requirements (REQUIRED)

• Weeknight and weekend call rotation 1:4
• Night call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (select dates)
• Weekend beeper call: Friday evening – Monday morning
• When on weekend call, PA will round with vascular surgeon once Saturday morning and once Sunday morning

Practice Details

• Team model: Typically 4 vascular PAs working four 10-hour shifts
• Daily workflow:
– 2 PAs in the OR (2–6 cases/day)
– Remaining PAs rounding on 10–20 adult inpatients

Typical Cases & Duties

• Vascular first assist in the OR
• Vein harvesting
• Arteriovenous access procedures
• Aortagrams, angiograms, bypasses
• Endovascular procedures
• TAAs, T-Bars, B-Bars
• Discharge orders and inpatient rounding
• Floating between OR and floor as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant
• Prior vascular surgery first assist experience required
• Trauma hospital experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I trauma environment

Patient Population

• Adult patients only
