Cardiovascular ICU PA needed in Ohio

•Start Date: 10/12/2026
•Contract Length: 3-month contract
•Schedule: 3x12s per week, full-time candidates only; weekends will be included

Work Details:
•Department description: The APP is responsible for daily management of patients admitted to Progressive Care Unit (PCU), collaborating closely with CV and Transplant surgeons. Manages medically and surgically complex patients following cardiac and thoracic procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, heart transplant, lung transplant, and pre op for cardiac surgery. No first assist. Pre and post op care in CVICU. •Procedures: remove chest tubes, remove temporary epicardial lacing wires, remove temporary drains, wound care, and dressing changes.

Manage routine and complex postoperative care including:
• Hemodynamic optimization
• Fluid balance and diuresis
• Arrhythmia management
• Anticoagulation management
• Blood pressure management
• Glycemic management
• Respiratory optimization
• Pain management
• Chest tube management (when applicable)
• Temporary pacing wire management per institutional policy
• Wound assessment and management
• Infection surveillance
• Renal dysfunction
• Electrolyte replacement
• Nutritional optimization

• Skills required: Cardiovascular ICU experience, heart failure/transplant, lung transplant experience

•Practice Setting: Hospital

Requirements:
• License required: OH
• Minimum experience required: Must have 3 years+ experience.

•Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

• October start
• OH license
