Physician Assistant (PA) – Vascular Surgery (Locums)
Location: Springfield, OR

Job Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Vascular Surgery for locum tenens gap coverage. The provider will work alongside an attending MD/DO in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Clinical Duties:

First assist in the Operating Room (OR) and assist with in-clinic procedures.

Conduct patient rounding, admissions, and shift handoffs.

Inpatient census: ~15 patients/day across 36 surgical beds.

Clinic hours: 08:00 – 16:30.

Call Requirement: Minimum 6 call shifts per month (includes weekday, weeknight, and weekend coverage). Providers reporting at 07:00 must attend morning handoff and rounding.

Current Gap Coverage Dates (Night & 24-Hour Shifts)

November: 5, 25, 26, 27

December: 12, 13, 16, 24, 28, 31


Orientation: 8 hours non-billable ($0)

Requirements & Qualifications
License: Active Oregon PA License preferred (Must be licensed or willing to license; active license required for October/November dates).

Certifications:

Active BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

COVID-19 Vaccination (Required – No exemptions).

Clinical Experience:

Documented surgical/clinical case logs for the previous 24 months demonstrating first, second, or third assist competency in general surgery and surgical sub-specialties.

Experience with EPIC EMR.
