Vascular Trauma Surgery Locum Opportunity – Oakland, CA (24-Hour Call)

Location: Oakland, California
Start Date: September
26 week assignment

Schedule

* Weekend beeper call: 24-hour coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
* Weeknight beeper call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
* Approximately:

* 2 weekends per month
* 3 weeknights per week
* Providers must be willing to cover a minimum of 4 shifts per month
* Coverage split is approximately 50% weekend call and 50% weeknight call

Practice Setting

* Level I Trauma Center
* Hospital-based practice
* EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

* Vascular trauma call coverage
* Management of acute vascular trauma cases
* Collaboration with multidisciplinary trauma and surgical teams
* Census fluctuates seasonally, with higher volumes during the summer months

Requirements

* Board Certification required
* Active California medical license required
* California DEA required
* Fluoroscopy Certification required
* ACLS certification required

Experience Required

* Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers required
* Strong preference for Level I Trauma experience
* Prior vascular trauma call experience required
* Must be comfortable managing vascular trauma and open vascular surgery cases independently

Credentialing

* Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days
