Vascular Surgeon Needed in Oakland, CA | Level 1 Trauma | 24-Hour Call | Vascular Trauma

Job description

This is a 24-hour on-call vascular surgery opportunity at a Level 1 trauma center in Oakland, California, serving adult patients over an assignment of approximately 26 weeks. Coverage includes weekend 24-hour beeper call (7:00a-7:00a) and weeknight beeper call (5:00p-7:00a), with the need roughly split 50% weeknight and 50% weekend - about two weekends per month and three weeknights per week - and providers must be willing to cover a minimum of four shifts per month. Census fluctuates and is generally busier in summer. Credentialing runs 90-120 days, with no emergency privileges.

The physician must be comfortable and experienced in vascular trauma surgery, along with vascular and open surgery. Documentation is in Epic.

Candidates should be Board Certified in Vascular Surgery, with a California license, a California DEA, fluoroscopy certification, and ACLS. Level 1 or 2 trauma experience is required (Level 1 strongly preferred), along with experience working vascular trauma call.
