Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgeon for a long-term locums opportunity in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, supporting a busy Level II Trauma Center with a robust cardiac surgery program.

Position Overview:
- Specialty: Cardiac Surgery
- Start Date: ASAP
- Emergency temporary privileges available for clean files
- Licensure: Minnesota license or IMLC required

Priority Coverage Dates

Additional coverage is needed overall, but these weeks are the highest priority:
- March 16–22
- March 30 – April 5
- April 20–26
- May 4–10

Schedule & Call:
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call Rotation: 1 in 3

Practice Setting:
- Hospital-based
- Level II Trauma Center
- Oncology lung cases are handled at another facility

Cardiac Surgery Case Mix
- Predominantly routine and complex cardiac cases

Ideal Candidate:
- Board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Surgeon
- Strong experience with cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
- Flexible and comfortable with a high-acuity cardiac program
