Position Highlights

Clinical Responsibilities -
The physician will be responsible for:
Direct inpatient and/or outpatient patient care
Supervision of interdisciplinary care teams
Teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students
Participation in clinical conferences and educational programs
Collaboration with referring providers to ensure continuity of care
Involvement in quality improvement, peer review, and clinical audits

Academic & Leadership Focus -
This role emphasizes:
Medical education and structured teaching participation
Contribution to research and scholarly activity
Development and refinement of clinical guidelines and best practices
Leadership in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Maintaining alignment with institutional mission, values, and professional standards

Ideal Candidate
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of accredited residency training (and fellowship if applicable)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in primary specialty
Eligible for full medical licensure in North Carolina
Active DEA registration with full prescribing authority
Strong commitment to academic medicine, education, and quality improvement
Professional, collaborative, and patient-centered approach to care
