TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Vascular Surgery Physician for a local locum opportunity at a correctional healthcare facility in Butner, North Carolina. This role offers a low-volume consultative environment with no call responsibilities and flexible scheduling.

Shifts may vary from 8, 10, or 12 hours
Once onboarded, the provider will collaborate with the Scheduler by submitting their availability on an ongoing basis. Scheduling is a coordinated effort between the provider, the Onsite team, and the agency to ensure appropriate coverage and alignment with clinic needs.
On-Call Requirements: None

Practice Environment
Adult patient population ages 18–80
Low patient volume with approximately 4 vascular patients per month
Focus on dialysis-related vascular care and prevention of access complications
Vascular surgical procedures referred offsite for intervention
Primarily consultative and management-focused care
Supportive correctional healthcare environment

Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage vascular surgery patients
Provide consultative care and treatment recommendations
Assess dialysis access concerns and vascular complications
Coordinate care and referrals for surgical intervention when appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements
MD or DO required
Board Certification not required
Active North Carolina medical license required
Must be enrolled or have prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid in North Carolina
Ability to work independently in a correctional healthcare setting
