Job description

A healthcare system in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Vascular Surgeon for ongoing locum tenens coverage starting June 1, 2026.

This opportunity offers a manageable call schedule with strong support staff across multiple hospital settings. Providers will cover 24-hour call shifts, primarily one weekend per month, with occasional weekday coverage for vacation needs.

Assignment Details:

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Ongoing Coverage
Schedule:
1 weekend per month (Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM)
Additional Monday–Thursday coverage as needed
Call: 24-hour call shifts
Callback Volume: ~4–6 hours per day
Patient Population: Adult

Practice Setting:

Hospital-based coverage across two facilities
One large, high-acuity hospital (1,000+ beds, Level II Trauma Center)
One mid-size community hospital (200+ beds, non-trauma)
EMR: Epic
Support: Experienced nursing staff and multidisciplinary physician support

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
Active Ohio license or IMLC Letter of Qualification
DEA required
Minimum 1 year of experience

Additional Details:

Credentialing: Temporary privileges available in ~30 days
