Job description

Start: As soon as credentialed
Length: 13 weeks
Coverage: Vascular surgery call coverage
Schedule: 24-hour call blocks, 7:00–7:00. Open dates include 11/2–11/3, 11/12–11/13, 11/25–11/30, 12/3–12/8, 12/10–12/15, 12/17–12/21, 12/22–12/24, and 12/28–12/30
Call: Beeper call; 30-minute response time; 1:3 call ratio; about 10% callback rate
Volume: About 3 phone consults and 5–10 patients seen per 24 hours; no admissions (hospitalists admit)
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, Level II trauma, stroke certified

• Vascular surgery consults and emergent cases while on call
• Inpatient rounding
• Documentation in Cerner
• Temporary privileges available
• Travel covered: flight, lodging, and rental car

Requirements
• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
• Active South Carolina license required
• ACLS required
• No malpractice history within the past 10 years
