NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunity in Long Beach, CA

Job description

Ideal Start Date: As soon as can be credentialed (about 6 weeks)
• Specialty/Unit/Profession: NP/PA (Cardiothoracic Surgery)
• Shift: 5x8, Days (7a-5p; cases from 8a-5p)
• Practice Setting: Inpatient (Cardiothoracic Surgery)
• License Certifications: CA
• Contract Length: At least 2 months, possibly 6 months
• Coverage & Call Reqs: 1 in 3 calls (every 3rd night, 6p-6a, and every 3rd weekend)
• EMR: Epic
• Patient Age Group: Adults
• Procedures (if applicable): Must be able to harvest veins and would be great if they could do radial, too. Mostly aortic cases, but could also include cardiothoracic and vascular cases
• Board Certifications: Must be board-certified as a PA
• State License: Must have unrestricted CA medical license
• CSR: Same as DEA.
• DEA: Must have a fee-paid, current DEA registration.
• Years of Exp. Required: At least 1 year.
• Charting Exp. Required: Yes, please.
• Additional Exp. Required: All aspects of a cardiac surgery NP/PA role including OR, pre-op, post-op, and clinic.
• Support Staff: Yes, great staff/team.
