Cardiology Physician Assistant Needed in Pasadena, CA

Specialty: Outpatient Cardiothoracic Sx APP
Start Date: 4/28/25 or as soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months, ongoing
Shift Details: 8a-5p
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Details:
· Support Staff: 3 MDs, 2 front office, 1 surgery scheduler, 2 medical assistants
· Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Full time, Monday-Friday
· Patients per day: 35-40/ week. Varies on day. Mondays are generally slower while Tuesdays are typically the busiest day
· Patient Population/Age: All ages
· Department Description: Outpatient clinic. Provider will be supporting 3 cardiac surgeons with pre-post op patient care. PA will autonomously perform sutures, wound care. No invasive or surgical procedures performed in clinic. This role will be 60% administrative and 40% clinical.
· EMR: EPIC
· Special Procedures: Wound care, suturing
· Skills Required: Must have 2 years of experience and background with cardiothoracic surgery. Extensive experience in another specialty *may* be considered if provider is adept in pre/post-op evaluations and minor clinical procedures mentioned above.

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Required
· License Required: CA license required
· DEA: Required
· Certifications Required: BLS
· Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days. Expedited will be considered on an as needed basis.
NOTE: this is outpatient and mostly administrative with some clinical, but no surgical cases or invasive procedures will be required
