Physician Assistant – Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery (Inpatient) in California!

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join a renowned Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery team at a well-established hospital. This full-time, 26-week contract offers the chance to work with a dedicated team of experts in congenital heart disease, heart transplants, and complex pediatric cardiac care.

Position Details:
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📆 Schedule: 4x10s, variable day shifts with occasional OT when assisting in surgery
📌 Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month
🏥 Setting: Inpatient, Hospital-Based

✔ Perform procedures including chest tube and intracardiac line removal
✔ Utilize EPIC EMR in a high-performing hospital setting

Requirements:
✅ Board Certification Required (PAs must have a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies)
✅ Active CA License & DEA (Schedule II) or willingness to obtain
✅ Minimum 1 year of experience in one of the following:
✅ Pediatric cardiac care (preferred)
✅ Adult CT surgery
✅ Cardiac transplant care
✅ Adult cardiac stepdown care
✅ Strong preference for providers with second-assist experience in surgery

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 Days
