Cardiothoracic Surgery Locum Opportunity Available in Washington

Job description

We're actively seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum coverage starting May 1, 2025, for a full-time, ongoing assignment in Washington. This is to fill a gap in current coverage and includes both clinic and hospital responsibilities.

Position Details:

Start Date: 5/1/2025

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with call (1:3 rotation)

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient (Clinic & Hospital)

Duties: Admissions, rounding, and discharges; average 6–8 patients/day

Call Coverage: Required

Patient Population: Adults

Team Structure: Will work solo

EMR: EPIC (Proficiency required)

Requirements:

Certifications: Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon, ACLS, and other MSO-required certs

Licensure: Open to candidates without an active WA license (will consider those pending or needing to license)

Credentialing Timeframe:

Standard: 90 days

Expedited: ~30 days (if MSO pre-approved with clean pre-app and WA license in hand)

Temporary Privileges: Available for up to 120 days

• Full-time schedule with predictable hours and 1:3 call
• Both inpatient and outpatient coverage at a 242-bed facility
• Open to licensing candidates; expedited credentialing available
