Job Description: Registered Nurse – Unit Manager (RN UM)

**Location:** Sandia Ridge Center, Albuquerque ,NH
**Shift:** 1 (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
**Meal Break:** 45 minutes
**Pay Rate:** \$55 to \$68 per hour
**Contract Duration:** 9 weeks
**Work Schedule:** Monday through Friday (40 hours guaranteed)

### Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced **Registered Nurse – Unit Manager** to oversee and coordinate nursing activities at Sandia Ridge Center. The Unit Manager will provide clinical leadership, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and support nursing staff within the unit. This role requires strong organizational skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.

### Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and manage nursing staff, including scheduling and performance oversight.
* Coordinate patient care activities to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
* Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting professional development.
* Monitor and evaluate nursing care plans and patient progress.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
* Manage unit operations, including staffing, workflow, and supply needs.
* Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
* Address and resolve patient and staff concerns promptly and professionally.

### Qualifications:

* Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory nursing role preferred.
* Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a diverse team effectively.
* Proficient in electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
