Contoura Facial Plastic Surgery, a premier practice specializing in aesthetic facial procedures, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dedicated team. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding surgical outcomes in a state-of-the-art facility. This is a unique opportunity for a CRNA to work closely with a renowned facial plastic surgeon in a private practice setting. You will be an integral part of our surgical team, responsible for delivering safe and effective anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of facial plastic surgery procedures.
Responsibilities: Administering all types of anesthesia as appropriate for facial plastic surgery procedures. Performing pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations, including reviewing patient medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Developing and implementing individualized anesthetic care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements. Monitoring patients during surgical procedures, adjusting anesthetic levels as needed, and managing any complications that may arise. Maintaining accurate and complete anesthesia records. Collaborating effectively with the surgeon, surgical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Adhering to all established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including those related to patient safety, infection control, and sterile technique. Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Providing post-anesthesia care and monitoring, ensuring a smooth recovery for patients. Educating patients and their families regarding anesthesia and post-operative care.
Qualifications: Current, unrestricted CRNA license in the State of Florida. Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS certification may be required based on practice needs. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a CRNA, preferably with experience in outpatient surgical settings or plastic surgery. Strong knowledge of pharmacological agents used in anesthesia and their effects. Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
