🫀 Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) – New York, NY
📍 Location: New York, NY
📅 Assignment Dates: September 1, 2025 – 13-week assignment
👩‍⚕️ Position Type: NP ONLY – Full-Time (Day & Night Shifts Available)
🏥 Practice Setting: Hospital – Cardiothoracic Surgery Stepdown Unit

🕒 Schedule Options:
Day NP: 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Night NP: 6:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Shifts: 3 shifts per week, including 1 weekend per month

🛠️ Role Overview:
Provide comprehensive care for pre- and post-operative cardiothoracic surgery patients in a stepdown unit. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical judgment and procedural skills.

🧪 Types of Cases & Procedures:
Chest tube removal
Arterial line removal
Arterial blood gases (ABG)
Epicardial pacing wire removal
Note: No ICU coverage required, except for procedure consents

✅ Requirements:
Active New York NP license
COVID-19 vaccination required
Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
Experience in cardiothoracic or surgical stepdown preferred
Proficiency with Epic EMR
